The City of Weston Finance Department is managed by City employees, an Assistant
City Manager/Chief Financial Officer and a Treasurer. Weston contracts with Municipal
Technologies, LLC for finance and administrative support services, which include
accounting, managing the City's debt obligations, annual budget preparation, and
periodic financial reports. Administrative support services include the staffing
of City offices with well educated, highly proficient personnel to fulfill the needs
of the City's residents and businesses, and for issuance of the City's Local Business Tax Receipt.
Credit Rating: In 2006, the City of Weston was issued the highest quality
issuer credit rating assigned by Moody's Investors Service (Aaa) and by Standard
& Poor (AAA) - which is defined as the strongest creditworthiness relative to other
U.S. municipal or tax-exempt issues of issuers.
On April 2, 2010, Standard & Poor affirmed their ‘AAA' rating issued for the City of Weston.

Weston Business Tax Receipt (BTR) – A Business Tax Receipt (BTR) is
required
before engaging in any business in the City.
Weston is proud to be recognized by the Government Finance Officers Association
for excellence in its preparation of its Comprehensive Annual Financial Report.
The City of Weston budget has received the Distinguished Budget Presentation Award
each year since inception from the Government Finance Officers Association. This
is the highest form of recognition in governmental budgeting and represents a significant
achievement.
