FREE Concert in the Park! LET IT BE - The Beatles Tribute 3/07/2015

LET IT BE – The Beatles Tribute is the nationally touring Beatles Tribute experience.  Audiences will enjoy a spectacular theatrical concert experience with a mesmerizing live re-creation of the Beatles music you love to hear.

LET IT BE features an all-star cast of musician/actors.  They have been featured on network television and worked with well known artists/groups such as The Beach Boys, Billy Joel and Herman’s Hermits. 

Relive The Beatles’ meteoric rise from their humble beginnings in Liverpool’s Cavern Club, through the heights of Beatlemania, to their later studio masterpieces with live performances of early tracks including:  Till There was You, She Loves You and Day Tripper, as well as global mega-hits, Come Together, Here Comes the Sun and of course, Let It Be.   

Experience this multimedia spectacle which takes you back to the magical sixties when all you needed was love and a little help from your friends !

Don’t miss joining your friends and family for a night of great music under the stars! 

Come early for a great spot -  bring your own lawn chairs or blankets.  The Event Stage is close to the park’s largest playground which is a plus for those with smaller children.

CONSESSION STANDS & FOOD TRUCKS will offer a wide selection of foods/beverages.

Presented by the City of Weston, Weston Town Center and the Weston Philharmonic Society in partnership with the Arts Council of Greater Weston

Don’t miss this fantastic free outdoor concert of pops and light classics performed by the full Symphony of Americas orchestra under the baton of Maestro James Brooks-Bruzzese.  Music of your favorite Broadway shows, movies and hum-along favorites will be featured.  Limited provided seating is available but there plenty of room to bring your lawn chairs.  This concert attracted a huge crowd last year so come early and bring the entire family.

The line-up includes everything from Phantom of the Opera, Fiddler on the Roof and Show Boat to Tchaikovsky’s 1812 Overture and John Philip Souza’s Stars and Stripes Forever.

Walk on Water is an enthralling and insightful story of an Israeli Mossad agent assigned to hunt down an aged Nazi.  He poses as a tour guide in Israel for the old man's grandchildren, as they each learn more about one another.  The movie is shown with English subtitles.

13th Annual Water Matters Day at Tree Tops Park - March 14th 3/14/2015

13th Annual Broward COUNTY'S water matters day
saturday, March 14th

"Celebrating Our Centennial" is the theme of the 13th Annual Broward Water Matters Day event on Saturday, March 14th between 9AM-3PM at Tree Tops Park in Davie.

Water Matters Day is Broward County’s signature water conservation event where residents can learn about local and regional water resources, how water is managed & protected, and how Broward County is planning for future water needs. Activities will include: free native plant or tree by visiting at least 12 exhibits of the over 45 exhibits and booths, face painting, crafts, bounce house for kids, rain barrel workshops, giveaways/raffles,  music and a Food Truck Invasion.

Tree Tops Park is located at 3900 S.W. 100th Avenue in Davie.  Admission to Water Matters Day is free, however the park's weekend and holiday admission fee of $1.50 per person will be in effect.  Children five and under are free.

In this enchanting, updated version of the classic fairy tale, Wanda the Witch casts a spell on the handsome prince, turning him into a frog.  To break the spell, he now must be kissed by a beautiful princess.  There are a few delightful surprises!

Shows are best suited for children in Pre K through 2nd Grade and must be accompanied by an adult.
