SINGLE FAMILY HOMES and Multi-Family Units with Curbside Collection:

Multi-Family Units with DUMPSTERS:

* Saturday, January 24th

Pick up occurs on your regularly scheduled collection day.  All items should be curbside by 7:00am on pick up day.

Bulk items include but are not limited to:

  • Furniture, mattresses, carpets and other large household items.
  • Large and small appliances, such as dishwashers, laundry machines and stoves.
  • Refrigerators or air conditioners must have Freon removed by a certified dealer.
  • Mirrors, glass, glass top tables, windowpanes, and plate glass items should be safely placed in a rigid container to facilitate safe collection.

NOT COLLECTED: Bulk items DO NOT include contractor-generated material, or vegetative waste (landscape materials) or household hazardous waste (HHW). Vegetative/Landscape waste is collected with your regular garbage collection.        


Help those in need, keep items out of the waste stream, and get a tax deduction. Several national organizations will even pick-up directly from your residence – you don’t have to wait for bulk pick-up day! There are many local, well-established charitable organizations that readily accept donated items.

* Hot Chocolate and Cookies
* Interactive Booths and Displays
(Concessions will be available for purchase at the event)

Exhibits will include: BSO: SWAT, helicopter, marine unit, bomb squad, mobile command post, motorcycle units, Hazmat, airboat, ladder truck, rescue unit. Many more exhibits to be added...

Celebrate the Arts in Weston Town Center

The Arts Council of Greater Weston announces the third annual Celebrate the Arts Day in Weston Town Center.  It will highlight hands-on participation in the visual arts, performance, dancing, and literary art. 

Check out the activities planned for the day:

 * Young at Art Museum will offer an open air Art Studio with hands on painting and crafts for all ages, as well as demonstrations from their in house master potter.  

*Music Tech Studios will have a hands-on playing “zoo” for all ages to experience the fun of playing string, brass, woodwind and percussion instruments.

* Presentations by Cypress Bay High School and Sagemont Schools music, choral and performing arts departments throughout the day.

*  New this year is photography, ceramics and literary arts to the event by Cypress Bay High School and Tequesta Trace Middle School.

* Free face painting and caricature art on site and the ever-popular GRAFFITI WALL, where artists of all ages can express themselves through art and word.
