 Cypress Bay Theater, 18600 Vista Park Boulevard, Weston

The Symphony of the Americas Orchestra and James Brooks-Bruzzese, Arstistic Director, bring back world renowned singers from its original production of famous operas and Broadway selections:  Marcin Bronikowski, baritone, of La Scala and Donna Balson, soprano, of Sydney Opera House.   They are joined by Italian Argentinian tenor Carlos De Antonis and soprano Courtenay Budd, hailed by the New York Times with “gleaming sound… a standing ovation performance.”

 

 

Performances include: Overture to Norma, Qui la voce – viendiletto from Puritani, Nessun Dorma from Turandot, Toreador Song, Votre toast je peux vous le render from Carmen, Gershwin by George, Hello Young Lovers from The King and I, All I Ask of You from Phantom of the Opera, A Chorus Line, Dunque e proprio finite from La Boheme and more.

Tickets - General Admission:    $20 in advance or $30 at the door the night of the event

                               Students:   $10 in advance or $15 at the door the night of the event

Celebrate the Arts Day at Weston Town Center

The Arts Council of Greater Weston will host the fourth annual Celebrate the Arts Day, which will highlight hands-on participation in the visual, performing, and literary arts.

Activities for all ages, including the popular 28 foot long Graffiti Wall on which everyone can express their artistic talents.  Performances from local schools and the Music Dance Academy, will be ongoing.  A musical “petting zoo” will let budding musicians try out a variety of instruments.  Free face painting, a balloon artist, and a caricature artist will be on site. The high school clubs will offer a range of displays and participation activities.
