10th Anniversary Free Outdoor Concert in the Park
the charlie daniels band
With special guest wet willie
Saturday, March 1st 7:00PM
This year’s concert presented by the City of Weston and the Rotary Club of Weston brings the legendary Charlie Daniels Band to the City. Adding to the night will be Wet Willie, the Soul of Southern Rock.
Charlie Daniels is a legend in country music: Grammy winner; Country Music Association winner; Grand Ole Opry and Musicians Hall of Fame inductee; he has a star on the Music City Walk of Fame and has been presented the Pioneer Award by the Academy of Country Music. Few artists have left a more indelible mark on America’s musical landscape than Charlie Daniels.
Wet Willie brings a potent blend of high energy R&B, down home soul, blues rock and gospel harmonies.
National Anthem to be performed on the fiddle by 13 year old Maggie Baugh.
Don’t miss joining your friends and family for a night of great music under the stars!
The annual event is perfect for families as it is set in a comfortable and safe environment. Many families come early to get good seating and bring along a picnic and games as they wait for the start of the evening. The Event Stage is close to the park’s largest playground which is a plus for those with smaller children. Concert attendees do need to bring their own lawn chairs or blanket for seating. Food concessions will be available and while people are welcome to bring in their own food or beverages, alcohol is not permitted.
The concert is held at Event Stage next to the Weston Community Center, inside of the Weston Regional Park. For more information, please call 954-389-4321 or visit www.westonfl.org for more information. You may also visit www.westonrotaryclub.com or www.charliedanielsband.com.
