Race starts/ends in Weston Regional Park, 20200 Saddle Club Road

Race time is 7 AM.

Pre-registration is $15 per person.  After June 13th, fee is $20 per person.

Race packet pickup:  5:30 - 6:50 AM on the day of the event.

Join your friends and family for a morning holiday celebration run in the area of Weston Regional Park.  The course is out and back on South Post Road with a lap around the park to the finish line in front of the Community Center.

CITY OF WESTON 2016 FOURTH OF JULY HOMETOWN PARADE

Join us at the City of Weston’s 2016 Fourth of July Hometown Parade!  Participants including elected leaders, local businesses, civic groups, schools, bands, organizations and residents gather to march in Weston’s biggest and most exciting event.  Show off your patriotic pride -- wear your red, white and blue, and come out and cheer on parade participants, including our 2016 Grand Marshal:  Rick Folbaum of CBS4 Miami.

This year's parade theme is A Weston 4th:  Celebrating 20 years.  The parade begins promptly at 10:30AM at the corner of Town Center Blvd. and Three Village Road, continuing east on Three Village Road to Bonaventure Blvd. then heading south briefly to Bell Tower Lane.  The parade culminates by winding through Weston Town Center to the heart of Main Street where hundreds gather for the fun.

Interested Parade Participants:  All groups, organizations, businesses and bands are welcome!  Join us for a 4th of July tradition, and walk or ride in Weston's biggest and most exciting event of the year.  Registration is FREE.  Click here to download a parade application.

SINGLE FAMILY HOMES and Multi-Family Units with Curbside Collection:

* Wednesday, July 20th

Multi-Family Units with DUMPSTERS:

* Saturday, July 23rd

Pick up occurs on your regularly scheduled collection day.  All items should be curbside by 7:00 AM on pick up day.

Bulk items include but are not limited to:

 

  • Furniture, mattresses, carpets and other large household items.
  • Large and small appliances, such as dishwashers, laundry machines and stoves.
  • Refrigerators or air conditioners must have Freon removed by a certified dealer.
  • Mirrors, glass, glass top tables, windowpanes, and plate glass items should be safely placed in a rigid container to facilitate safe collection.

 

NOT COLLECTED: Bulk items DO NOT include contractor-generated material, or vegetative waste (landscape materials) or household hazardous waste (HHW). Vegetative/Landscape waste is collected with your regular garbage collection.        

THINK BEFORE YOU THROW – CONSIDER DONATING

Help those in need, keep items out of the waste stream, and get a tax deduction. Several national organizations will even pick-up directly from your residence – you don’t have to wait for bulk pick-up day! There are many local, well-established charitable organizations that readily accept donated items.

BSO – Weston District will host this presentation to give residents survival tips when faced with an active shooter in a public space.  Unfortunately, active shooter events have become more prevalent in recent years, so it is important to learn how to handle these events.  

The presentation will also include information on situational awareness to assist you in your everyday lives.

Presentation contains violent content.  Recommended for 18 and over.
