CHLORINATION WATER TREATMENT
The City of Sunrise maintains the highest quality standards to provide clean, safe drinking water to our customers, which includes the City of Weston. From July 2 through July 20, the Utilities Department will use chlorine in its drinking water treatment system to provide additional protection against bacteria.
What is Chlorination Water Treatment?
This temporary treatment of the water system is common practice for water suppliers that use a chlorine treatment method. This periodic program is mandated by the Broward County Health Department. 
This procedure does not cause any adverse health effects. However, some individuals may notice a slight change in the taste, odor or color of the water during this time.
