CITYWIDE FIRE HYDRANT FLUSHING
Fire hydrant flushing will be conducted throughout the City during daytime hours. The program will begin on Monday, July 9th and will continue through Monday, July 30th.
Flushing is done to increase the quality (color and disinfecting residual) of the water in the distribution system. Homeowners are not likely to notice a difference in water pressure or color, however if a dishwasher is running, it may pull some cloudy water into the home. The water is still safe and running the tap for a few minutes will produce clear water again.
