BSO Fire Department Receives Prestigious Accreditation

BROWARD SHERIFF’S OFFICE RECEIVES
PRESTIGIOUS FIRE RESCUE ACCREDITATION

On Wednesday, August 1, 2012, the Broward Sheriff’s Office Department of Fire Rescue and Emergency Services was awarded Accredited Agency Status by unanimous vote of the Board of the Commission on Fire Accreditation International. This status puts the Department as one of only 150 Fire Rescue Departments in the world to achieve this prestigious recognition.

The City of Weston congratulates Chief Harris Bouchillon and the men and women of the Department on receiving the award.  Those assigned to Weston, as well as those throughout the agency, exemplify the best of the fire service and this recognition validates the outstanding work that they do each and every day.

By meeting the CFAI standards on an ongoing basis, the residents and business in Weston will benefit by having fire rescue, fire protection, and fire prevention services that are recognized to be the best that can be delivered.

BSO Fire Chief Neal de Jesus was quoted as saying, “I am extremely proud of our agency as well as this milestone. I am committed to continue improvement and leading us to be the best we can be “an agency we can all be proud of”.
