The Broward County Aviation Department (BCAD) will be conducting its second and final Public Open House Workshop for Broward County’s Fort Lauderdale-Hollywood International Airport (FLL) Master Plan Update. The Airport’s Master Plan is a comprehensive study that describes proposed short, medium and long-term improvements needed to meet future aviation demand and other airport needs. Funding for the Master Plan Update study includes grants from the Federal Aviation Administration and Florida Department of Transportation.
BCAD, joined by its Airline partners, presented the FLL Master Plan Update’s preferred development plan to the Broward County Board of County Commissioners on June 6, 2019. BCAD is hosting the Public Open House Workshop to share the preferred development plan and solicit public comment from the community, including: local residents, homeowners’ associations, and other community interest groups. Representatives from the Aviation Department and the Consultant team will be available to answer questions and receive comments during the workshop.
