City of Weston, FL
Home MenuCity Charter
Every Florida municipality is required to have a municipal charter, which is the legal framework within which a city or town operates. The Charter outlines the powers of the city, establishes the form of government, administrative departments, financial procedures, elections and more. A Municipal Charter cannot be amended without a referendum.
The City of Weston's Charter was first established in 1996 when the City was incorporated. The last amended version, which is linked below, was adopted by referendum on November 6, 2018.
