Most residences in Weston are located within a private development and thus governed by a Homeowners' Association (HOA). According to City Code, all Homeowners' Associations shall register annually with the City Clerk's Office by the first workday in April.

HOA Property Maintenance
Who handles the maintenance in my community?
If you live in a gated or private community, the common areas are considered private property; therefore, your Homeowners Association maintains all of the infrastructure, roadways and landscaping within your private community. For any maintenance or landscaping issues within your community, please call your HOA or property management company.
Local Street Flooding
Keep catch basins clean throughout the year to prevent localized flooding in your neighborhood. Locate the catch basin (storm drain) nearest to your property and be sure that it is kept free of debris throughout the year.
Trees on Private Property
Street trees or trees on Homeowner Association property CANNOT be removed without a City permit.
Who maintains the lakes/waterways? Can I use lake water for irrigation?
The City maintains a majority of the water bodies/lakes inside the communities, though some are privately owned.
If you live on a waterway and wish to withdraw water from the lake or canal for irrigation purposes, the following agreement form is required:
