• Where can I register as a vendor?

  The City of Weston does not have a vendor registration process. The City of Weston utilizes Onvia DemandStar to advertise current bids and solicitations.  Businesses who have registered with these services are notified electronically whenever the City requests a quotation or has issued a formal solicitation for a commodity or service offered by the vendor.  Additionally, the City publishes a list of vendors that we have done business with.

• Does the City have special assessments?
  Yes, the City has special assessments. The City assesses property owners for services such as solid waste and recycling collection, fire protection and inspection services, and operating costs for the Bonaventure or Indian Trace Development Districts. Charges are collected as a non-ad valorem assessment on the annual property tax bill.
• Does the City of Weston have any kind of assistance or counseling programs?
  The City of Weston does not offer any kind of assistance programs other than the first buyer/home repair assistance program facilitated by Broward County.
• How do I request a lien search?
  You can do so by sending in a city of Weston estoppel request (available on website) and follow the instructions on the form.

• Do the Parks have free wifi?

  Free Wi-Fi is available at Weston Regional Park.

• Are dogs allowed in the parks?

  Dogs on a leash (maximum 6' leash) are allowed at all parks, with the exception of Weston Regional Park, Town Center Park and Vista Park where dogs are not allowed. 

  Dogs are not allowed on the playing fields of the parks, only along the walkways.

• Can I book a shelter online?

  Park shelters at Emerald Estates and Regional Parks are available for online rental beginning July 10, 2021.  Click here to view availability and complete the online reservation.

  Shelter pavilions at other parks are available on a first-come, first-serve basis.

• Are completed fingerprints forwarded to the FBI electronically for processing?
  No.
• Can I come to the Weston District Office to have my vehicle checked to verify equipment failure has been corrected, and is there a fee?
  Yes, you can respond to the Weston District front Desk between 6:30 AM to 1030 PM, every day of the week.  We will examine and verify motor vehicle equipment is operating.  There is no fee.
• Can I have a security assessment on my business or residence in Weston?
  Yes, you can contact Weston Front Desk #954-389-2010 for the Crime Prevention Deputies to schedule an appointment.

• Why do the city lakes have more growth during the summer months compared to the winter?
  The weather is warmer in the summer months; the water is warmer and the days are longer. Heavy fertilization of lawns can increase growth due to introduction of Phosphorus.
• Who is responsible for cleaning out the lakes?
  The City of Weston Public Works Department is responsible for lake and canal maintenance. You may contact Public Works at 954-385-2600.
• Why do some lakes have more vegetation than others?
  Some lakes have littoral shelves that could extend out 30 feet or more and some have more turbidity. For instance, the Bonaventure lakes have virtually no shelves, so there is less growth.
