Home Watch Program
BSO offers residents in its jurisdictions a free Vacation Home Watch program. Deputies will drive by unoccupied residences and perform a daily perimeter check for signs of break-in or suspicious activity. Bicycle Registration Program (Weston District)
To register your bike, you must visit the Broward Sheriff's Office Weston District Office with the bike for verification. You will receive a free bike lock up registering your bicycle!
You will need: Name, address, phone, bike serial number, manufacturer, model, color and any other description. For more information, please call 954-389-2010.

Similar to “See Something, Say Something,” the SaferWatch mobile app encourages users to “See Something, Send Something”. Tipsters who wish to be contacted will be informed that their information was received. The app also allows users to provide information anonymously. While not exclusively for use at schools, the app allows students, parents and teachers the ability to subscribe and receive alerts from a school’s location. Touchline Program - a free service that offers a daily telephone call for people over 60 years of age who live alone.
Safe Transaction Zone for Online Sales
Not everyone selling or buying items online is legitimate. Residents that would like to conduct an exchange from an online agreement can now do so in a safe environment by arranging to meet at the parking lot of any Broward Sheriff’s Office District Office.

Shred-a-Thon and Operation Medicine Cabinet
Broward County residents can shred away identity theft by safely disposing of their personal documents, check stubs, credit card offers, receipts and any other material that might contain sensitive data. This service is free of charge at any BSO Shred-a-Thon event.
Safely dispose of unused, unwanted or expired prescription medications as part of Operation Medicine Cabinet, which takes place at the Shred-a-Thon events.
