Weston's lush landscaping has become an icon of elegance. When it comes to landscaping in Weston, there are two distinct areas of work: the maintenance of the trees and landscaping on public property, and the supervision of landscaping guidelines for residential and commercial property.
The City's Landscaping Department, under the direction of Thad Bielecki, is responsible for the maintenance of the City's public green spaces, including parks and athletic fields, as well as public rights-of-way such as berms and medians.
For tree removal and/or installation on residential and commercial property, contact the City's Tree Preservation Division which who oversees landscape permits and registration. Landscaping guidelines are detailed in the City of Weston's Tree Preservation Ordinance, City Ordinance, Chapter 122. Click on Landscape Permits & Registration for details.
Additionally, the South Florida Water Management District sets guidelines for landscape irrigation. Visit sfwmd.gov for details.
