Arts Council of Greater Weston
Arts Council of Greater Weston
Established in 2002, the Arts Council of Greater Weston is an independent, not-for-profit organization that coordinates cultural and performing arts event requests on behalf of the City of Weston, as well as provides planning and oversight and support for the diverse cultural activities and events hosted in collaboration with the City of Weston.
BSO Fire Rescue – Volunteer Programs
Community Emergency Response Team (CERT)
Adults (ages 18 and over) can join the CERT Team to be a part of a group of individuals that train to assist the community in an emergency or disaster response situation, as well as participate in non-emergency community events and programs.
BSO Fire Rescue Explorers (Ages 14-20)
Young men and women considering a career in fire rescue and emergency services can participate in the BSO Fire Rescue Explorer Program.
Community Service for High School Students
High School Community Service Hours
The City of Weston maintains a list of high school students that are in need of community service hours to meet graduation requirements. The list is updated at the start of each school year.
BSO Police – Volunteer Programs
The Broward Sheriff’s Office offers several volunteer programs for adults and youth participants including the following:
- Citizens Observer Patrol Program (COP)
- Seniors and Law Enforcement Together (S.A.L.T.)
- Civil Air Patrol
- Law Enforcement Explorer Program
- Weston University Police Services Academy
Sports Leagues
In partnership with the City of Weston, the Weston Sports Alliance is the governing body for all league sports programs. The Weston Sports Alliance provides a variety of youth and adult sports programming through several leagues, that offer recreational and competitive play. Volunteer coaches are integral to the individual leagues. Contact the league directly to inquire about volunteer opportunities.
