Elementary school students and their families throughout Weston are invited to join us for a one-mile family health walk and help their school win the 2022 Commission Cup trophy. Schools will also earn cash prizes for the highest participation rates (based upon student enrollment).

Event Schedule 

Walk begins at 9:30 a.m.
Participants should arrive by 9 a.m. to allow time for check in. 

Awards Ceremony at 10:30 a.m.

What Can You Win?

The Weston elementary school with most student participants in the Commission Cup Walk (by percent of enrollment) will win the prestigious City of Weston Commission Cup, an ice cream party for  your whole school and up to $3000! Additionally, all elementary schools that reach a minimum participation level (by percent of enrollment) in the Commission Cup Walk will win a cash prize of $1000. 

Anyone who is registered and participates in the Commission Cup and/or Get Fit Challenge activities will be included in the Grand Prize raffle to win a PlayStation 5, along with many other prizes.

Here the guidance for schools and parents

 

PARENTS

Package (T-Shirt and Goodie Bag) will be at our regular registration/package pick up will be at our regular registration sites (YMCA Regional Park on Saturday, Dec-3rd as of 10 AM until 4 PM and, Cypress Bay HS on Sunday Dec 4th as of 5 AM).

 

Package pick up on Sunday no later by 8:45 AM to have sufficient time for the walk scheduled for 9:30 AM.

Bags and T-Shirts will be provided on a first come first serve basis.

Allow for extra driving time on Sunday due to City-wide Road closures and expected heavy event traffic.

 

To elementary school kids to enter the City of Weston Commission Cup, they need to complete the 1 Mile Walk and scan the Commission Cup QR-CODE.

The QR code will be revealed at the festival and volunteers will provide instructions.
