9th Annual Veterans Day Salute

Honoring All Who Served

Hosted by the YMCA of South Florida and the Weston YMCA Family Center in collaboration with the City of Weston   

Join us for a celebration to honor veterans in our community at this special breakfast for veterans and their families.

This year’s keynote speaker is Captain Scott O’Grady, a decorated Air Force Veteran who served 12 years of active duty, accumulating more than 1,300 military flying hours, the majority of which were piloting an F-16. He is most recognized for helping enforce the NATO no-fly zone over Bosnia when his F-16 was hit by a Soviet-made anti-aircraft missile. Captain O’Grady tells his story of how he survived in hostile territory for six days before being rescued by the United States Marines.
