The City of Weston will complete a Vulnerability Assessment Study and Adaptation Plan pursuant to Section 380.093, Florida Statutes (F.S.) as well as develop a Local Mitigation Strategy.

Recent data on groundwater conditions and projections of sea level rise (SLR) indicate that critical assets of the City may become exposed to more intense flooding in the future. This project will evaluate the vulnerability of City assets to changing conditions and determine adaptation measures to mitigate risk in current and future scenarios.

The purpose of this first Public Meeting is to provide stakeholders the opportunity to contribute input during the initial data collection stage and discuss critical assets that are important to the community and should be considered.
