Description:

Replacement of existing synthetic turf including the underlayment material with new synthetic turf system at Weston Regional Park Rinks 2 & 4. The new system includes Hellas Matrixturf synthetic turf system, Brock shock & drain pads, and Brock natural organic infill or equal.

Rinks 2 & 4 were originally completed in February of 2016, and the current material has reached it’s lifespan and is being replaced with a new underlayment pad which helps absorb shock as well as improve drainage.  The new turf and organic infill will be of similar design to what was recently installed in Rinks 6 & 8.

The quality of both the turf, and the organic infill, has vastly improved since the original 2016 installation.

These versatile rinks are heavily used for soccer and field hockey throughout the year.  The Sports Alliance has approximately 260 players per season on the rinks, plus the public utilizes the rinks daily.
