Household Hazardous Waste Materials are not accepted in bulk trash collection or in your regular garbage service collection.
Weston residents may drop off items for Household Hazardous Waste disposal and/or electronics recycling to the following location every Saturday, 9 a.m. until 3 p.m.*:
- Central Residential Drop-off Center, 5490 Reese Road, Davie, 33313
(access from Davie Road, just south of I-595, follow Reese Road east around curve until see Broward County signage on south side of Reese Road.)

Put aside items that cannot be placed into the trash or put out for bulk pickup and bring them to the annual FREE Household Hazardous Waste Disposal and Electronics Collection event and they will be recycled or disposed of properly without harming the environment. Simply pull up and drop off your items.
Household Hazardous Waste (HHW) refers to used or leftover contents of consumer products that contain chemicals with one of the four characteristics: Toxic, Ignitable, Corrosive, or Reactive as defined by the Environmental Protection Agency.

YOU MAY ALSO DROP OFF THE FOLLOWING ELECTRONICS: Answering machines, computer cables, cell phones, computers (including laptops), copiers, DVD and VCR players, fax machines, flash and hard drives, keyboards/mice, monitors, pagers, print cartridges, printers, radios, routers, satellite/cable boxes, scanners, speakers/stereos, telephones, televisions, wires
ITEMS THAT ARE NOT ACCEPTED:
- Business and government-generated waste, explosives, bio-hazardous waste, appliances, microwave ovens.
- Containers may not exceed five gallons; limit 25 gallons per visit.
- Prescription medications. To safely dispose of unwanted prescription medications, click here to find a local public disposal location authorized by the DEA.

Walgreens Pharmacy, 1735 Bonaventure Boulevard, Weston, FL 33326 | 954-385-0014 - The Broward Sheriff's Office also hosts Operation Medicine Cabinet events to safely dispose of medications in conjunction with the popular Shred-a-Thon events held throughout the year. - Needles (sharps) and syringes. The Florida Department of Health offers a Needle Collection Program to safely dispose of any used or unwanted sharps (needles) for free. The needles and syringes must be returned in an approved "sharps" bio-hazard container. Click here to learn more.

In addition to the annual collection events, Weston residents can also dispose of Household Hazardous Waste items, and drop off electronics to be recycled throughout the year at collection centers operated by Broward County.
